PROJECT SAMBA is a training programme designed for youth “Futsal”and “Football” players, using technical ball mastery and creativity as its foundation.
Inspired by the Brazilian football and culture which has produced some of the greatest players of all time, the programme gives young players and coaches a structured syllabus to follow, focused on the development of individuals, which ultimately benefits the team.
The syllabus is different to traditional training methods as it helps aid technical development by having a high emphasis on mastering the ball from a young age, whilst also making it fun for participants.
PROJECT SAMBA’s mission is to inspire the next generation by developing confident, technical, and athletic young individuals. These traits have helped develop some generational talents for the England squad, such as Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden & Jadon Sancho.
Our aim is to pass this culture onto as many young players around the country as possible and for coaches to embed this new structured, fun and purposeful training programme for their own teams.
Players that are coached the SAMBA way follow our “Player Ethos”, of which the main focus point is shaping the 'future player'.
Working on a young athlete's physical ability, improving physical skills such as agility, balance, co-ordination and speed.
Players are coached to be confident and dominant in 1v1 situations, both in and out of possession.
Focusing on ball mastery, allowing players to develop core 1v1 skills using both feet for equal balance. They learn different skills based on defender positions and areas of the pitch.
Improving decision making skills and increasing sporting IQ level. We develop players’ scanning ability, enabling them to make quick decisions and encouraging problem solving skills.
This is a vital part of the PROJECT SAMBA structure. SAMBA matches are integrated into the syllabus as small-sided games which are hugely beneficial and can be played at any youth level or age. SAMBA matches have their own unique set of rules which help with the development of young players and most importantly are super fun to play!

SAMBA matches have their own unique set of rules which help with the development of young players and most importantly are super fun to play!
SAMBA matches are a way for players to express themselves and to be as creative as possible as an individual and as a team. These attributes can then be applied to larger sided games within traditional club football.
SAMBA matches are played in a 3v3 or 4v4 format with no goalkeeper. The purpose of SAMBA matches is to influence direct and attacking style of play to score goals as quickly as possible on a small sized pitch with smaller goals.
